It is said that recently Chinese twitter equivalent Sina Weibo allows overseas people to register through their Facebook accounts to solve some registration problems.
Currently, while clicking on “Register” button on Hong Kong Sina Weibo site will get options of “Sina Weibo account login” and “Facebook account login”. However, until now these options haven’t appeared on Weibo English website that targets for the North American market, neither on the Chinese one.
The feature was firstly discovered by an application team Surroundapp, which mainly focuses on the third-party applications of microblogging automatic translation. And it has been further confirmed that Facebook account login works.
Earlier this year, Sina Weibo has launched the English interface web application, but was soon removed. Yet Android and iOS version of the official microblogging mobile app have continued to provide English interface.
