Android is continuing its steady growth and it’s not planning to slow down any time soon. According to Canalys, a market research firm, Android is expected to hit 1 billion phone shipments annually by 2017. And this, while losing 0.6% of its market share, standing tall at a total of 67.1%. This year, Android shipped 470 million phones, so its figure is expected to more than double. And this is only counting phones and not tablets!
Windows Phone is expected to take a pretty solid chunk of the market too, as it is expected to see 400% growth between now and 2017. Check out the full press release here.
