Xbox One vs Playstation 4: Let the Games Begin

If you are one of the type of people that would had left the cave and helped develop the wheel then you would have obviously heard about the E3 convention where the biggest boys in the console market when head to head with the introduction of their new consoles. Microsoft have unveiled the Xbox One, all $499 (429GBP, 499EUR) of it. Trouble is the reception hasn’t been exactly what Microsoft have wanted by upsetting the masses by announcing that they would impose a fee for playing pre-owned games. As you can imagine Microsoft then defended itself with this unpopular announcement and said that pre-owned games can be passed on once, and only once. The following was quoted:

“There are two requirements: you can only give them to people who have been on your friends list for at least 30 days and each game can only be given once.”

This again didn’t please the masses therefore Microsoft had to relieve on the beautiful visual and active games titles that they have lined up for the end of the year.

Sony on the other hands announced they would be $100 (349GBP, 399EUR) cheaper than their main competitor, which consequently pleased many but the main announcement and the bit that kicked Microsoft when they were down was saying that it would not impose restrictions on second-hand games.

Microsoft will need to go back to the drawing board and work out how to market their machine to gain buyers from Sony by looking at how to prove it is worth the extra $100.

Both manufacturers have announced that both machines will be available at the end of the year.
